Fastest Submission in UFC Featherweight History

If you went to the fridge or hit the restroom at the start of the Skelly / Blanco fight last night it was over before you got back. Chas Skelly scored the fast submission ever for the UFC Featherweight division finishing Blanco within a blazing 19 seconds in UFC Fight Night 94.

Kelly wasted no time and came flying out at the opening bell landing a jumping one footed kick to Blanco's chest which left him sitting on the mat. Skelly pounced on the downed Blanco and the two competitors scrambled and eventually stabilized when Skelly sunk in a D'Arce choke. Blanco fought to get out bet eventually went unconscious before Herb Dean stopped the fight and worked to revive him. With this win Skelly improves his record to 16-2 getting back on track after a loss in his previous fight with Darren Elkins in UFC 196.

The sub only event did not disappoint fans and dolled out over $30,000 to competitors. Former UFC Champion Ben Henderson was victorious in his co-main event match with Jay Pages and was able to finish him by way of rear naked choke.

The other co-main event match on the card with World Champion Black Belt Mackenzie Dern ended up going the distance where Dern was ultimately declared winner by decision over brown belt World Champion Talita Alencar. It was no easy match though and both competitors were working the entire time resulting in bout being declared Fight of the Night.
